Text-heavy dating can create barriers for some people with dyslexia or written-language difficulties. DCD, dyscalculia and developmental language disorder create different possible needs and should not be reduced to spelling, navigation or lateness stereotypes.
Atypiklove lets you select dyslexia, DCD, dyscalculia, dysorthography or written-language difficulty, and DLD as relevant profile terms. Naming and diagnostic groupings vary. You can join the dys community or read dyslexia and dating without spelling anxiety.
Why a dys-friendly platform changes the game
- No spelling score in matching. Typos are not used as a measure of intelligence, care or compatibility.
- Communication preferences. You can state that text takes longer or that another format helps.
- Use available accessibility tools. Browser zoom, screen readers, dictation and spelling support depend on your device and browser; this page does not claim they are built into Atypiklove.
- Related communities. Members may list more than one diagnosis or label, but nobody should assume a particular combination.
How it works
You create a profile, choose any relevant labels and state your interests. If your device provides voice dictation, screen reading or spelling support, you can use those system features with the site.
Conversations open after a match under current messaging and credit rules. If you prefer a phone or video call through another service, discuss safety and consent first. Speech is not easier than writing for every dys profile.
Tips for dating when you're dys
- Describe your preference. You may mention that spelling takes time or that another format works better, without apologizing for it.
- Ask before changing channel. A call can help some people and be inaccessible or unsafe for others.
- Plan concrete access needs. Clear directions, an agreed time window or a transparent way to split costs may help, but none should be inferred from a diagnosis.
- Use the tools that help. Dictation, spelling assistance, screen reading and accessible fonts are supports, not evidence of ability or effort.

Sign-up is free. Paid features and credit limits are explained in the current plan details; creating a profile does not guarantee a match or response.
Frequently asked questions
Will my spelling mistakes get me filtered out on Atypiklove?
Atypiklove does not use spelling accuracy as a matching criterion. Individual members can still react in different ways, and harassment or ridicule can be reported. You can explain a preference for voice notes, calls or accessible formatting where those external tools are available.
Does Atypiklove offer accessibility features for dys profiles?
The site supports normal browser and operating-system accessibility tools, but this page does not promise a dedicated dyslexia font or text-to-speech feature. Tell support if a specific interface creates a barrier.
Are dysphasia and other dys conditions welcome?
Yes. Members may use dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia or written-language difficulty, developmental language disorder, DCD or related terms. These labels are not interchangeable and terminology varies by country. ADHD can coexist but is a separate diagnosis.
